HOUSE CLEANING TIPS & TRICKS

Keeping your home clean and tidy is an easy way to reduce daily stress. But the act of cleaning itself can make some of us feel anxious. Reduce your cleaning stress by utilizing these tips from cleaning professionals!

Microfiber clothes are your must-have cleaning tool.

Microfiber clothes are better at cleaning surfaces than sponges and paper towels. They are also machining washable and quick drying, making them far less likely to hold onto germs. Many hospitals have converted to microfiber clothes, towels, and mops.

Try baking soda for cleaning tougher messes.

While a microfiber cloth is perfect for quickly cleaning up small messes, break out baking soda for bigger food related messes. Sprinkle some baking soda on a cloth and wipe down any areas that have grease build up. Give it a couple of minutes, and then follow up by wiping the area with a clean, damp cloth to pick up the residue.

Steam clean your microwave.

A little steam can make that stuck-on mess a whole lot easier! Put a bowl of hot water inside and set the timer for 5 minutes. The steam created by heating the water will loosen the grime in your microwave and make it easier to wipe off with a cloth.

Clean up dust, dirt, and crumbs.

Use strong adhesive tape or a lint roller to pick up dust, dirt and crumbs pretty much anywhere around the house including lamp shades, drawers and fabrics.

Use your vacuum attachments.

Use vacuum attachments to dust and clean the blinds, vents, cabinets and pretty much anything else you notice is dusty. This is great for a quick clean before guests come over!
