·         Stay Informed

Keep yourself up to date about new types of scams and phishing techniques.

Awareness is your first line of defense.

•        Don't Share Personal

Information Avoid giving out personal or financial information over the phone, especially if you didn’t start the call.

•        Use Call Blocking Apps

Utilize call blocking apps and features provided by your phone carrier to automatically filter out known

spam numbers.

•        Be Wary of Caller

ID Spoofing Scammers often use technology to display fake caller IDs. Don’t solely

rely on caller ID information to decide a call’s legitimacy.

•        Report Violations

If you receive unwanted calls even after registering and opting out, report the violations

to the FTC. This helps authorities take action against violators.

•        Screen Calls

If you receive a call from an unknown number, let it go to voicemail. Legitimate callers will

leave a message.
